Idilia acquires the British milkshake company, Shaken Udder


The leading premium milkshake brand in the United Kingdom | First international acquisition for the Spanish company

 17th November 2025.- Idilia, a Spanish food company, closes the year with the announcement of its first international acquisition, Shaken Udder, a British company dedicated to the production of premium milkshakes, characterized by their excellent flavour and high-quality ingredients.

Shaken Udder is the leading premium milkshake brand in the United Kingdom. Born in 2004, its unique recipe, brand positioning, and strategic vision have led to a disruption in the British milkshake market. Its headquarters are in Tiptree (Essex), near the farm where Jodie and Andrew Howie, its founders, made their first milkshake. Today, Shaken Udder has a portfolio of 20 product references and is expected to reach a turnover of €40M in 2025. 

Shaken Udder will operate as an independent business unit and will retain 100% of its current team, who will maintain a close collaboration with Idilia. With this acquisition, the Spanish company continues to boost the development of the milkshake category, following the purchase of 50% of Cacaolat in June 2024. Idilia—which invoiced €204M and employed 335 people last year—also strengthens the weight of its international business, which is expected to reach approximately 20% of its total turnover in 2026. EY-Parthenon and Clifford Chance advised Idilia on the process.
