Positive Impact

In Idilia we aim to generate a positive impact on our environment, developing projects in favor of social and environmental sustainability. On the one hand, supporting the development and well-being of the people. On the other hand, developing and distributing our products with the minimal impact on the environment.

Our sustainability program is aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): zero hunger, good health and well-being, decent work and economic growth, responsible consumption and production, and action for the climate.

Social impact

FESBAL

The ColaCao Foundation is born with the dual goal of being a reference in the fight against bullying and empower children to enhance what makes them unique.

This non-profit organization anchors its social action through bullying prevention via three axes: the research, the education and the outreach, in projects aimed at teaching staff, students, and families, as well as awareness-raising projects aimed at the entire society. Project Idilia
People and Planet

Our goal is to manufacture and distribute with minimal impact. That is why we have eliminated palm oil from our entire range of products, helping to preserve the natural ecosystems of the palm-growing areas. 90% of the cocoa we use is certified by the Rainforest Alliance NGO.

The Idilia factories have very low environmental impact (our factory uses traditional mechanical techniques to preserve the personality of our recipes).

Idilia Foods aims to further reduce emissions, waste and plastics in its manufacturing activities.

We have achieved zero carbon footprint in scopes 1 and 2

Sustainability is not a word. It’s a way of being. In Idilia we believe that environmental sustainability, to be real, must be seen and felt. That's why we transform every commitment into visible, measurable, and ongoing improvements.

And we do it where it matters most: in our factory, in the packaging we use, in the way we treat water, in how we manage waste, or in the energy with which we produce our products. All these efforts are integrated into our program: Idilia Sostenible.

The cocoa we use to produce all Idilia Foods products is certified by Rainforest Alliance. This non-governmental organization has been working on environmental sustainability for more than 45 years and has the largest sustainable cocoa certification programme in the world.

Its objectives are to preserve the nature and ecosystems of the fields where cocoa trees grow and to improve the livelihoods of the farmers who grow cocoa.

Sport at the heart
of the company

The promotion of sports, as a fundamental pillar of a healthy lifestyle, is at the heart of Idilia Foods and its brands. Sport contributes to the physical and emotional well-being of people, both in childhood and in adulthood.

The values of empowerment, respect and team collaboration, intrinsic to sport, help us to be better every day.

Our commitment to sport is an innate part of our company identity which is why we promote the Healthy & Happy programme among our staff to encourage and improve healthy lifestyles.

Since the origins of the Idilia brands, more than 75 years ago, we have supported sports, a commitment that led ColaCao to become the first Spanish brand to sponsor the Olympic Games, becoming an Olympic food at the Munich Games in 1972.
